Katy has been working very hard on her junior handling. She came second at the Scottish Terriers Breeders and Exhibitors Championship show last week - this means that she has now qualified for Richmond Dog Show and the junior handling finals.

Ohhh what a proud Mum I am.

For her first junior handling class she was wearing the suit that I made her.

Unfortunately it was the material from hell and frayed just by looking at it - when we got home I realised that she has pulled the bottom of the trousers completely apart - knickers on show to everyone.

The damage was so extensive that I don't think I can find a way to mend it. I will have to make a new pair - slightly bigger around the bottom and french seam and "fray stop" the seams around the bottom - unless anyone out there has any better suggestions - please leave a comment!

Thank goodness for Gymboree and their scottie holiday range that I stocked up on when we were in America last autumn.

SNOW!!

Well - amazingly England actually got more than half a centimetre of snow on Monday - more like 6cm!!!

We all woke up surprised to find a blanket of white (even though the weather forecast had said it would snow - but who believes them!!)

So much snow in fact that all the schools closed and no one went to work - can you believe it!!! So 2 ghastly days of kids stuck at home, wanting to get cold and wet in the snow.

The dogs were very happy!!

I managed to spend a couple of hours on the sewing machine and finished Katy's jacket - just needs tidying up and pressing and then it can make its debut on the blog!! Photo to follow really soon.

Hi, welcome to my blog - first time for blogging so here goes.

I live just outside Southampton, United Kingdom and have 4 children and 4 scottie dogs. The dogs are my passion (well I suppose the kids are too).

I have Dylan, Bumble, Bluebelle and my very special Woody (he's special because he is wheaten whereas most scotties in the UK are black or brindle - he was also my 40th birthday present)

I also love crafty things, sewing, scrapbooking and occasionally dabble in making cards.
I am making a suit for my daughter Katy at the moment for her first Junior Handling Classes with Bluebelle.
